The Nurse Beat Me Up

My immunization records weren't complete so I had some making up to do. I got four shots and my blood drawn. No lollipop.

I had to go back again today for a tb test. That was gross and painful.

  2. I don't even like lollipops, but the fact that they didn't even offer me one...heartless.

  3. Hey, I posted a comment back when u first put this up...I wonder why it didn't work. Anywho, I said "LOL, I am seriously laughing out loud..."no lollipop" you crack me up!! I had to get an unexpected shot at the dr office this week too. I was freaking out, then felt like a baby because I didn't even feel a thing. I remember shots hurting a lot more when I was little." And now I am adding that I LOVE your crayon bandaid! I would keep it on until it got gross and fell off if I were you. Hopefully you don't test positive for TB like I did. That was lame.

  4. The first two shots didn't hurt but the last two did. And my arms still hurt. I don't care if I sound like a baby, it is really unpleasant. And yes, I agree the crayon bandaids are cute. I wish I would've gotten those for the first trip because then I could've had almost a whole box of 8 colors on my arms.

  5. Oh my freaking hilarious!!!!! I am going to print out that picture of you with your sad face and all your bandaids and put it up on my wall. On a plaque that reads "The Nurse Beat Me Up." And the background is freaking awesome too. And seriously, my stupid Tetnus shot hurt for DAYS afterwards, so I feel you!

And Kare--what?! I don't know this story. You tested positive for tuberculosis? Please Share.

And ALLI, will you still be able to blog when . . . you know. Because I'm thinking I may not be as excited about it if you can't. Your blogs are like a multi-textual bitingly clever yet still informative hunk of chocolaty goodness.

  7. Jules, when I went in for my first OB appointment they did a TB test which came back positive. I then had to get a chest x-ray which was negative so no big deal in the end, except that once I have the baby they are gonna have to do all this follow up stuff. Mom said that when I was little I always reacted to the TB test. Lame.

Alli - I forgot that some shots hurt worse than others...that makes sense. All I got was a stupid flu shot, nothing hardcore like Tetnus!

  8. Kare--that's really weird. And lame. :( I wonder why you always reacted to it. Did the Doc have any theories on why that is?

    Alli: Two Things:

#1 Happy Birthday!!! Bryce doesn't know what time he (and his phone) are getting home tonight, so just in case it's too late to give you a call, I wanted to make sure I got to tell you Happy Birthday in SOME way, shape, or form.
There was a slight mishap with your B-Day present, so it will get there a little late.

#2 No, don't tutor her. It might ruin her own heartfelt, sweet-but-sassy blogging style, which is one-thousand percent Crissy. I'm afraid that the only one who can authentically write your blog is you. :( But I'm happy Crissy agreed to update it for you--that makes me feel a little bit better. . .
